Enig med neard, men jeg har lige lidt flere ting at pege på; "She deals with the issue because of  the situation in her family".
"The" bør lede til noget allerede kendt, men her bliver læseren ikke præsenteret for noget problem, ej heller nogen speciel situation. Egentlig ville jeg nok helst helt omformulere den sætning. (Spørg, hvis du gerne vil have hjælp :o) )

- Jeg er bare lidt i tvivl om, hvorvidt hun accepterer sit liv, som det er endt med hendes søn og mand, eller hun, hendes mand og søn har accepteret livet som det er endt.
