Ladies and Gentlemen.
My name is Cary Cooper and I’ve prepared a speech for all those British and Americans employers who suffer from stress in their daily lives.
I’ll be developing some main points.

• In the first part I’ll talk about how big this problem really is by giving you some facts that make you convinced that this problem is affecting many businesses including your own
• Secondly we can talk about what should be done to create a healthy workplace among employees again.
• finally I’ll will give you a summary of what you’ve just heard, and then I’ll give my final conclusion about this subject.
British and Americans working hours is the longest in Europe, and this causes stress to an important negative factor in our employment. Stress level in England is much higher than in other countries in Europe and it will continue to rise over the next 10 years. For your companies, the cost of stress-related illnesses is more than £ 4 billion a year. Many leaders and managers are working more than 40-50 hours per week and some even 10% more than 60 hours. Many employees think that the quality of their work is dramatically decreased, which many attach to stress. Companies must be aware of the damage stress can cause and the increasing threat of lawsuits from over stressed employees. In the final analysis - stressed employees is destroying companies in the end.

Therefore offers companies in particular August. One that their employees can take a "duvet days", is a kind of shirk days when work becomes too much. Besides that they also have a massage day, a health and beauty club and a morale-budget which staff can use for lunch etc. outside the office.
All this helps to increase productivity among employees and helps to reduce stress related sick days.

Now I’ve come to give a summary of my speech.
Now you all know the cost of all stress-related illnesses is more than £ 4 billion a year. You know the stress level will keep on rising the next 10 years, if nothing is being done. You know stressed employees are destroying your companies in the end.
That’s why…
I think every single company should implement a “duvet day”. Because all this helps to increase the productivity among employees and helps to reduce stress related sick days.
