en lille engelsk oversættelse
Hej, jeg har fået til opgave at oversætte en kort dansk tekst til godt engelsk. Måske er der et venligt menneske som vil kikke på det jeg har skrevet, - på engelsk altså :)
Her er hvad jeg har skrevet:
After the Boer War a young Englishman travelled to South Africa, where he hoped to become rich.
He met and old Boer, which did trade with diamonds, but the Boer wouldn’t tell him were he had bought them.
The young man had in the meantime noticed that the Boer, often rode on his horse, and one day he did ask him, if he could buy the beast/animal. The Boer where immediately ready to sell his horse, but the Englishman had to pay a lot more, than it was worth/the right value.
Next morning the Englishman rote to the Boer’s farm, but at the gate he did turn around, and now he let the horse chose his way/the way. It trots out to the village, where the Boer used to buy his diamonds.
The Negros did immediately come out to the white man, which only few hours later could return to his home with some fine diamonds.

det er svært at se når du ikke også har sat den danske ind (:
men det hedder vel i hvert fald: where he had bought them.

In the meantime the young man had (in the meantime) noticed that the Boer(,) often (rode) went riding on his horse, and one day he (did) asked him(,) if he could buy the (beast/)animal. The Boer (where) was immediately ready to sell his horse, but the Englishman would have (had) to pay a lot more(,) than it was worth(/the right value).
Next morning the Englishman (rote) rode to the Boer’s farm, but at the gate he (did) turned (around,) and (now he) let the horse (chose) choose (his way/the way) which way to go.. It trotted(s) out to the village(,) where the Boer used to buy his diamonds.
The Negroes (did) immediately (come) came out to meet the white man, (which) who (only few hours later) could return to his home with some fine diamonds just a few hours later..
