A Travel Piece is a shortstory written by Margaret Atwood.The shortstory is about Anette which is a travel writer. She is on her way home from an exotic vacation but the plane gets some errors. She is forced to make an emergency landing in the middle of the ocean with the rest of the plane. The plane sinks into the water and she ends up in an emergency boat with five other people. Bill, Verna, Greg, Julia and Mike. After some while in the boat, they get the idea to protect themselves against the strong sun above them. They use their coats, but it gets too hot after a while. Then they make masks of metal trays that contained food, on the plane. After a few days in the boat without any help, Greg drinks seawater. Bill and Mike stops him and it ends up that Anette will experience something very inhuman. They all wanna slit up Greg’s throath with a knife that Bill has brought. And now it's where Anette must decide if she wants a part of it or not.
