English:
There is one thing to be said about the deniers of holocaust: At least they know, what they are denying. To maintain the lies they are telling, they must make use of persevering/pertinacious/persistent falsification. To dismiss/brush aside the colonial cruelty of The United Kingdome, no such effort is necessary. Most people seems to be unaware about the fact, that something has a need to be denied.
The story about beneficial imperialism, which didn’t had the generally purpose to secure land, labour and items, but to teach the natives English, manners to the table and dobble accountancy, is a myth that has been well distributed by the press of the right wing.
But it has its’ strength from a remarkable national ability to embellish and ignore our past. The Brittish didn’t detained 80.000 Kikuyes, as the official stories maintain, but almost the whole population of one and a half million people, in camps and in fortified villages. Thousands of people got beaten to death, died of malnutrition, typhoid fever, tuberculosis and dysentery. In some camps almost all of the children died. The inmates were used as slave labours. Over the gates there were constructed slogans like “Jobs and freedom” and “Him who helps himself will also get some help”
