I think it’s great for the international economy that so many young students want to be self starters. I know that not all projects are going great. But some of them do work for many thousands of people. That’s why I also think that it is important to learn something about innovation. In my opinion, it could also be a problem if too many people want to be entrepreneurs, since the firms need workers to work for them, to create a big business empire.
Here are some positive things connected to be a self starter. To realize the ideas you have, because then you don’t feel bad for not realizing ideas in real life. You can handle you own life make your own decisions. Create your life’s work that you can be proud of. Another great thing is you can plan your own time; you don’t have to ask anyone if you want to take a day off. You can manage you time, and decide which thing you think is important.
You also have an opportunity to get wealthy. This is one of the biggest motivations. And also not working for other people is attractive.
There are also some negative reasons why you should not start a business. If your idea is not good enough, then you have a big problem if nobody is willing to buy your product or come to you for help. The fact that you might not have enough knowledge about how to run a business is a negative point. There is a big risk and a lot of paperwork, and you might not be able to handle the economy. Then the business will not last for long. If you want to be an entrepreneur you have to be willing to work long hours, we talk about 60-70 hours a week. If you have a family it can be demanding. Then many say if you want to be successful as an entrepreneur your family has to support you 100 %.
The conclusion, some of the positive things connected to be a self starter is also some of the negative things. Somebody likes to plan there own time and work long and therefore they find it very attractive. There are also people there think it’s negative to make all the decisions by them self and work long. That’s why I say that some people have the personality to be an entrepreneur. And some people just don’t wannabe.
