COOL IS COOL

What does cool mean: To be cool is pretty much the same as being “in”. Many people think that you are cool when you are wearing the right kind of cloth. Listening to the right music. And have the right opinion. I think it is the three most important things, if you are young at least. If you want to be cool you have to follow the fashion. The fashion is changing very fast. So that’s why you have to buy a lot cloth. It is pretty smart made done by the people that are making money by selling it.
People who decide what the new fashion is going to be have some cool hunters. The cool hunters are going in the streets of New York and other big cities in the states. They just go around and talk with the young ones. They look at their clothes and then they report it to their bosses. After that the production is started and a new fashion is on it´s way.
Cloth – what is cool?
For boys. For example a big sweater and some huge jeans. It is to have special makes Levis ore Diesel or something like that. Braun, black, grey, green and white are some of the cool colours. But now it is also cool to have screaming colours spots on your cloth. And of course the names of the firms that are producing the clothes not to forget.
For girls. For girls it is the opposite, the cloth can’t be tiny enough. It is the same colours as for boys but the clothes have a lot more colour. and I think that girls have the possibility for using a lot of different styles during a week.

Music. Right now it’s very cool to hear pop music. But the rock is still all right and has been it for many years. It is cool to hear the music on a mini disc. A mini disc is a kind of a disc man. The only difference is that it is under half size. Both - boys and girls - are listening to the same music. For instance cool music is cool music all over the world. The radio stations are playing all the same.

Opinion. A cool opinion could be: don’t take anything to serious. Don’t make to much homework. Don’t be too interested in the lessons. Don’t do too much to fast. I think “just be cool man” is the most used sentence for people managing the world.

Many people try to be cool. So they wear the right cloth and listen to the right music. It is not because they like it. They just pretend, so they don’t look like outsiders. They do it to be popular. To be a part of a group. I don’t think that it works. I think that you are cool when you being yourself. I hate folks that just pretend. Make your own cloth style instead of just stealing it from another. Say what you mean and be interested in people around you. Try to listen to what they are saying and not only what they look like. And listen to music you like in common and make good experiences. That’s fucking cool!
