Hey Sally!
Welcome to our school! Before you arrive there is a lot of things you should know about. Starting with the education I will tell you everything you need to know. In Denmark the pupils and the teachers know each other on a first-name basis so it is a lot different than the United States in that way. Normally in Denmark the education starts at 8.0 AM. In the Danish school system you start in 0. Grade or in 1. Grade and you graduate from the basic school in 9. or 10. Grade. Afterwards you can decide what kind of education you want to have. There are a lot of different educations you can start on but most people go to the gymnasium because it gives a lot of different opportunities for starting on a higher education. In the basic school you don’t move from classroom to classroom like in the US but are separated into between two and four classes on the same grade. Each class is given a classroom and the pupils just stay in their classroom and the teachers move around instead of the opposite. In Denmark we eat a lot of things that you don’t have in America. For example we eat a sort of baloney with a sort of light yellow mustard on top of it and put fried onions on top of the mustard. It is on top of a slice of bread made of dark grain. For dinner we often have pasta, which is not really of Danish origin, but Danes eat it a lot because it is easy to cook. A very Danish sort of food is “frikadeller” a sort of meatballs made on a frying pan. At Christmas we eat a sort of pig roast with potatoes and very fat gravy. Some people don’t like the pig roast and eat duck instead. In Denmark we don’t wear school uniforms as they do in a lot of countries like England. We actually have a relatively free dress code except you are not allowed to show up in too revealing clothes. The rules in the school are not very tight. The basic rules is that you can’t swear, you have to give your homework assignments in at the time you were told, and you have to do as told in school. At the end of the school a lot of the pupils go to sports and others go to the movies or do all sorts of different things in their spare time. In Denmark you are allowed to buy alcohol when you are 15 but you have to be 18 before you can take your drivers license. In Denmark we have a tradition of drinking a lot at parties and we are as a matter a fact the country in Europe with the record of young people drinking. I am not proud of it, but that’s just the way it is.
I now hope you know what you need to know and is all set for Denmark and everything in it.

Hey Sally!
Welcome to our school! Before you arrive there is a lot of things you should know about (tilføj:"IT" her ) . Starting with the education(,) I will tell you everything you need to know. In Denmark the pupils and the teachers know each other on a first-name basis so it is a lot different than the United States in that way. Normally in Denmark the education (heller SCHOOL)starts at 8.0 AM. In the Danish school system you start in 0. Grade or in 1. Grade and you graduate from the basic school in 9. or 10. Grade. Afterwards you can decide what kind of education you want to have (eller study) There are a lot of different educations you can start on (slet ON) but most people go to the gymnasium (heller skrive high school) because it gives a lot of different opportunities for starting on a higher education. In the basic school you don’t move from classroom to classroom like in the US but are separated into between two and four classes on the same grade. Each class is given a classroom and the pupils just stay in their classroom and the teachers move around instead of the opposite (slet: instead of the opposite). The basic rules is that you can’t swear, you have to give your homework assignments in at the time you were told, and you have to do as told in school. At the end of the school (heller skrive: in their spare time i stedet for: "at the end of the school") a lot of the pupils go to (i stdet for "go to"--> do) sports and others go to the movies (i stedet for "go to movies" --> see movies eller go to cinema) or do all sorts of different things in their spare time (slet "spare time"). In Denmark you are allowed to buy alcohol when you are 15 but you have to be 18 before you can take your drivers license (i min ordbog: kørekort = driving licence). In Denmark we have a tradition of drinking a lot at parties and we are as a matter a fact the country in Europe with the record of young people drinking (istedet for "and we are as a matter a fact the country in Europe with the record of young people drinking"--> and as a matter of fact, Danmark is one of the European countries with a record of young people drinking most) . I am not proud of it, but that’s just the way it is.
I now hope you know what you need to know and is all set for Denmark and everything in it.
( istedet for den sidste sætnig kan du skrive: now i hope you know everything you need to need know about Dk and ...)
