Jeg skal finde diskriminant og toppunkt for andengradsfunktionen:

-0,0005x2 + 16,75x

Som bekendt er diskriminantfunktionen:

b2-4ac

og T=

-b/2a, -d/4a

Hvad fungerer som c her?

De resultater, jeg får, kan ikke passe!

Tak for svaret, thank you Hans!

I did actually use c=0 hoping that it would yield a correct result. To no avail.

The thing is that I have put the data from the function into a table, and I get some strange results! The set of coordinates, the d and T-formulas yield seem as nonsense. Something is wrong - or I am doing something wrong!

Obviously I have a typing error in the second fraction in the T-formula, but the results are the same nontheless. And the y-value from the T-formula is a negative value, even though it should be positive.(though not far from the result I was expecting, if ignoring the fact it's negative)

Oh my god. I am not doing anything wrong. I must have slept too little. Thing is, the second part of the T equation still gives a negative number, even though it obviously is positive. The max profit (y) is 140281,25 with16750,00 as the amount of units sold (x), but why the negatives?
