1) Jeg skal balancere den kemiske formel for ('the combustion' - forbrændingen?) af nonane med oxygen.
- Jeg ved slet ikke hvad nonane er ? Og kan ikke finde det nogen steder?

2) Jeg skal færdiggøre den følgende erstatnings-reaktion:
C3H8 + Cl2 > (er det bare helt alm. C3H8Cl12? - for jeg kan ikke rigtig se andre muligheder)

I'd rather give answers to your questions in English as they are obvious translations from English to Danish. Note that substitution reactions are not translated as erstatningsreaktioner, but simply substitionsreaktioner.
Nonane is the alkane with 9 carbon atoms:

CH3-CH2-CH2-CH2-CH2-CH2-CH2-CH2-CH3

Which is the same as: C_9H_20 (C nine H twenty).

A COMPLETE combustion (which I assume you are referring to) always follows the equations:

alkane + oxygen --> carbon dioxide + water

That is

C9H20 + O2 --> CO2 + H20
To balance first balance the number of carbon atom:
C9H20 + O2 --> 9CO2 + H20
then hydrogen:
C9H20 + O2 --> 9CO2 + 10H20
then oxygen:
C9H20 + 14O2 --> 9CO2 + 10H20 (which is the answer)


the substitution reaction is

alkane + halogen --> halogenoalkane + hydrogen bromide
this is a FREE RADICAL MECHANISM, which means it proceeds through three steps: initiation, propagation and termination. You product is:
C3H8 + Cl2 --> C3H7Cl + HCl
